Monday Night Madness

It was another brilliant night of fun, laughs and top‑tier banter at the Marauders shoot tonight.

30 shooters packed into the Black Bull, all with their eyes firmly on the prize.

We even had a special guest on the mic — Bev Anderson from the Dead Eyes — who didn’t waste a second before throwing down the long‑awaited challenge for a full club re‑match.

Date confirmed: 6th May 2026 at the Rutland Arms, Newark.  

The gauntlet has officially been thrown.

With such a big turnout of shooters, we did a double-round format of their rounds tonight: -:

Rounds 1 & 2 taken together

Rounds 3 & 4 taken together

. It worked smoothly and kept things moving.

we will roll this format out again whenever we top 30 shooters.

An impressive 136 bells rang out tonight — like St Trinians on a school trip with pocket money to burn.

No one cracked the “110 pts for £110” challenge this week, but a few came dangerously close.

3rd Place – Craig Appleby 104 pts | 8 bells   Solid, steady, and right in the mix.

In 2nd Place – Tasha Potter 105 pts | 10 bells   A blistering performance — Tasha’s consistency is becoming a problem for everyone else.

And in 1st Place – Lily Potter 106 pts | 12 bells.  Her best score ever and an absolutely brilliant display. Lily, take a bow — that was outstanding.

This week’s Winner of the Week honour goes to Corey Ashford, marking his Marauders debut with 97.5 pts and 1 bell.

A cracking first outing — and the only way from here is up.

Next week will be our 2nd Virtual League Shoot, so bring your A‑game, your focus, and of course… the banter.
